Dear Amy,
I want to thank you for the outstanding job you did on the shadow box with my father-in-law's World War II memorabilia. I knew about what I wanted, but I needed an artist that would listen to my vision and work with me to achieve the desire results...all at a reasonable cost. The project was no less complicated when I told you that I wanted it to hang on the same wall beside my father's shadow box, also with World War II memorabilia, and I wanted it to match in over all style, frame style, and matting colors. That wouldn't have been to difficult had you created my father's; however, you didn't. Dad gave that to me as a gift several years ago ... it was created by a framer in Portland.
They are now hanging side by side and they blend beautifully; harmoniously. The end result was, as I told you, nothing less than fantastic. My husband is so proud to see his dad's memorial hanging in its place of prominence in our home. To say the two memorials are show pieces would be an understatement. They are the first things guest see upon entering out home and they get a lot of attention.
I wish you could have been with me when my husband first saw the finished product. Words were insufficient; it was an emotional moment for him. We immediately brought it to show his mom and she was also overwhelmed, proud and tearful.
Amy, you brought a piece of history to life. My grandchildren are young and have an opportunity to see a page out of World War II right in our home. They get to see a tribute to an American hero that happens to be their great-grandfather. You are the artist that people see when they admire the work done.
