The daughter of our friends who own Elm City Photo had an unfortunate accident with her beloved guitar: after a perfect evening camping on a beach, her boyfriend decided to move the car and, not realising the guitar had been propped against the back of the vehicle, proceeded to back over it. Many tears were shed, but it was an accident, after all. Mike, the boyfriend, decided to contact the fine people at Santa Cruz, the builders of the original guitar, and they agreed to rebuild her guitar with what they could salvage from the original. The face was no longer usuable, but they sent it signed by everyone who had helped rebuild the guitar. Mike presented the rebuilt guitar to Carmen on her birthday, and came in with her to get the face framed. (He's a keeper, Carmen!)
